SHOCKINGLY LONG SYMPTOM LIST FOR FMS

Right now then...been working on this next bit for awhile now, since I discovered that I had Fibromyalgia.

Now I took recepeit of a couple of books the first I have had around two weeks and brand new and by a British author. Another was used, grubby and only arrived two days ago from America.

The latter book has a section in it for you to do a checklist of a run-down if symptoms which I will get to in a minute. The book is tiitled...

LIVING WITH CHRONIC FATIGUE SYNDROME AND FIBROMYALGIA
by Mary J. Shomon
2004

Now I warn you now I got a real shock here. I have many, many problems but due to the major ones I do not really speak of the ones that are merely a pain in my arse, quite literally at times so it seems.

Now this CHECKLIST was absolutely astoundingly long.... I MEAN REALLY LONG. Now I will list the ones that affect me personally but there are another 30% more at least that do not apply to me.

I put in some funy comments and sometimes point out ones that are rare or do not have any more. Also you will note that some have the words 'Eleven Point Rule' in brackets as the author refers to the fact that in a particular section Fibromyalgia sufferers have at least, you guessed it, ELEVEN of them.

There is a section on a checklist of symptoms and here I have includud only the ones that I experience...

Those that the long list of really bad GPs and Specialists should have spotted are all in capital letters in brackets stating (ON MY [MEDICAL] RECORD)!

I am sure you can all come to your own cocnlusions regarding the NHS and the long list of hospitals, GPs, Sopecialists and others that have managed to miss this for way more than 13 years now, lol?

HOT FOOTING WITH PERIPHERAL VISION

SO I have had a letter and I do not know what to make of it.

The guy that did the Nerve Conduction Studies and Electromyography who told me that Dominick Mort was the best there is now seems to have spoken too soon as it looks like I will not see him again.

I now realised that this has happened a great deal in recent years and that you see these so-called specialists they look you up and down and if your lucky you get a test or two and then off.

The question for me is have they tested you for everything WITHIN their fields of knowledge.

I say this because as I just stated remarks are made that you will be 'seen to' by Doctors you are under that you end up not seeing again.

He is a Neurologist and I was sent to him because I THOUGHT I have Charcot Marie Tooth Disease and I got a damn sight closer than they ere have. CMT is not the only condition that falls under this remit.

It is a shame it appears that I have been discharged but it also looks somewhat odd in that he seems to know the outcome of the test?!

If you refer back to the previous post of my NCS and Electromyography tests the Doctor states that they will NOT contact Dominick Mort and thay give me TWO test results and one I am to give Mr Mort?!

"Here is a copy for you and one for you to give Dominick Mort when you see him"

I have not seen him but he knows and this looks highly suspicious just as the drug Gabapentin has been prescribed to me to deal with the electrical signals to my brain from my muscles. To be more specific this is to relax the excitement of the activity on the brain. Been on them a few days, feels a bit weird and having trouble sleeping right now but I will persevere but any of you that have read many posts wll know I do not do too well with Insomnia and really do hate it for a whole list of reasons.

Ooh yes become side tracked there and nearly forgot. Yes a shame I will not see him again as I would like to say to him 'Well I am glad it is reassuring to you but as you are well aware because I fully informaed you on our ONLY meeting...after more than 12 years of searching for ANSWERS yet another BLANK is NOT reassuring to me!'

Moron.

Anyway it gave me another branch, fork, so head down and I found that there are a couple of things that seem to explain it and they are Large Fibre Neuropathy and Small Fibre Neuropathy.

Now what IS extremely interesting with this, and I am afraid to say will be fatal for the NHS and all the Doctors I have EVER spoken to, is a reference to BURNING FEET.

Though I have to recall that I have been down this road before this links to one of only three conditions listed in the letter above. Tarpal/Carpal Tunnel is OFF THE TABLE as I was tested years ago for that. If I DID have it then...well still fatal for the NHS!

I had a long period back when I was 19 of burning feet that was really quite peculiar. It started after returning from a trip to France with an old friend and this condition, whatever it was I do not know, was very, VERY weird and it would feel like your soles were being heated by small radiators within your soles?!

It really was that weird and somewhat uncomfortable and as soon as I could I used to remove both my shoes and my socks whenever I could.

At the time I was chasing after amphibians in France and thought that I had picked up some fungal infection in the water. I mentioned it to doctors at the time but did not get much in the way of help.

In a Boots Chemist I saw this Germolene Foot Spray in a navy on white cannister and thought I would give it a go. Once in contact with the skin the relief was incredible and it had a very fast cooling effect on my feet.

I used this for many months and always went back and bought two cans each time and I figured that the antiseptic nature of the Germolene was keeping some fungus at bay. Eventually one day I went in to buy some and there was none on the store and I assumed they stopped making it.

But the burning fortunately never returned despite dogging me for a very long time.

Looking around on the internet doing a search on Large Fibre Neuropathy, which I have trouble finding because Small Fibre Neuropathy keeps coming up I ound the following...

"
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3086960/

Statements from the above appear below.

Symptoms of Small Fiber Neuropathy

Symptoms of small fiber neuropathy can vary widely in severity. Many individuals report the gradual onset of distal symptoms that include vague disturbances of sensation in the feet. These symptoms may include the feeling of a wrinkle in a sock that cannot be removed or of small pebbles or sand in the shoe. Others may report a cold-like pain, tingling or a pins and needles sensation. More severe symptoms of small fiber neuropathy may include burning pain that often is persistent, although it may vary in intensity throughout the day. Many patients also report transient electric shock–like pain, usually lasting only seconds, but quite severe and potentially multiple times per day. Many symptoms worsen during periods of rest and at night. In addition to spontaneous pain, many individuals report allodynia and hyperesthesia. Patients with small fiber neuropathy frequently complain that the bedsheets are exquisitely painful, and therefore, wear socks or use “foot tents” to keep the sheets from making physical contact with the feet.
Small nerve fiber neuropathies also may result in autonomic and enteric dysfunction. Patients often do not identify the relationship of these symptoms to their sensory complaints; however, when asked, they may report dry eyes, dry mouth, postural lightheadedness, presyncope, syncope, abnormal sweating, erectile dysfunction, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, early satiety, difficulty with urinary frequency, nocturia, and/or voiding [4, 5].

"

Yeah I always stick my feet off the side of the bed too or out of the ends of the quilt and have always been told I have cold feet.

Paragraphs from the above appear below.

"
Restless Leg Syndrome. Restless Leg Syndrome (RLS) may occur without apparent cause or may be associated with medical conditions. Peripheral neuropathy has been associated with RLS.22-24 IENF studies demonstrated a subclinical small fiber neuropathy in a subset of RLS patients without dysesthesias. This may explain the response to pain medication in some patients with RLS.25

...
"
Patients with large fiber neuropathies, such as demyelinating hereditary sensory motor neuropathies complain of numbness, tingling, and weakness. Examination classically reveals diminished deep tendon reflexes, reduced vibratory and position senses, and distal weakness. The clinical impression is confirmed by electrophysiologic abnormalities, such as slowed motor and sensory conduction velocities, reduced motor and sensory action potential amplitudes, and denervation on the electromyogram.
"
...
"
In contrast, patients with small myelinated A delta and unmyelinated fiber C fiber involvement complain of severe pain and diminished thermal and pain perception. Due to difficulty characterizing the discomfort, orthopedists, podiatrists, and rheumatologists may initially evaluate patients for arthritic disorders. Pain is described as burning, prickling, stabbing, jabbing, or tight band-like pressure. Dysesthesias are initially localized to the toes, but may spread to the legs and even the hands and arms. The examination can be normal and reveal a stocking-glove distribution sensory loss with preserved strength. Achilles reflexes may be slightly reduced, but significantly diminished reflexes implicate large fiber co-involvement. These patients do not develop ulcers or Charcot joints.
"
...
"
Clinical Evaluation. For the patient with suspected small fiber neuropathy a thorough history and examination are essential. The history should contain a review of medical conditions, family history, medications, and toxic exposures. The comprehensive neurologic exam includes evaluation for orthostatic blood pressure and altered cutaneous sensation.
"
So the Neurologist has NOT QUITE FINISHED YET so I have just been quite deliberately fobbed off and obviously deliberately set up to make it look like that all possibilities have been tested for when they have not.

Odd then that the only thing they sent me to be tested for is the one thing he stated clearly in my meeting, all recorded, that he was sure I did not have?!

Quite bizarre and I now hope that this little road travelled now shows without a doubt that they whole system and most everyone in it os bloody corrupt based on greed and self preservation?!

"
Electrodiagnostic Studies. Electromyography and nerve conduction studies assess large fiber involvement, but are of only exclusive value for following the small fiber syndromes. Reduced sensory nerve action potential may be the earliest signs of large fiber co-involvement in mixed disorders. The large fiber component may become evident as the neuropathy progresses.
"
EH?! BUT...the letter clearly states EXCLUDING LARGE FIBRE NEUROPATHY ( and NOT SMALL)

Anyway they obviously just do not want to know, or they already DO and will not admit it, like they did 8 years ago with my Chest Wall Pain, Costochondritis, and just want to give me the impression there are things still unknown to medicine?!

Well as a scientist I am curious about things I do not know about and have to work out the reasons and the facts. AS I have mentioned several times throughout this post I thought years ago that I would eventually garner the interest of Doctor's wanting to discover something for themselves they can the write a scientific paper about.

That just simply IS how it goes for anyone claiming to be a scientist or Doctor.

But over twelve years of my persistent explanations only seems to have a negative effect and I experience a dismissive attitude from these so called Doctors and from the letter above it looks immediately to me like nothing has changed.

But this simply is not true, oh no not true at all.

I have changed and this is far from over!

Right another appointment to be made with ... THE DOCTOR!

LMAO!

DOCUMENT! SHORT MEDICAL HISTORY AND VERY WRONG!!!

Well this was a turn up for the books.

I really did not expect to get handed a cut down version of my medical history and I was supposed to take this around to my Dentist. So during the walk I was looking at it when I noticed some glaring errors and a few omissions to boot so I pulled my camera out of my rucksack with the intention of studying it when I got home.

I have just finished doing that and though I am surprised to see some things included, like the sciatica, Restless Legs Syndrome and dizziness there is something in there that I personally was never given an answer to, other than 'water on the lung' after a scan at Homerton Hospital in London.

I now know for the first time ever that this is called Costrochondritis and listed as chest wall pain and sems to be pretty spot on and I can tell you it is pretty nasty. If anyone reading this had experienced this they will agree with me, well I presume so I could hardly breath for days, lol.

Anyway what is shocking is that the dates are way way off and they have got some things back to front and to cap it all it is in itself contradictory!!

Well it WOULD be if it were not for the fact that a certain diagnosis that took place on the 8th February 2012 at Barnet Hospital where they diagnosed PES CAVUS and therefore contradicted the earlier observation that there is nothing abnormal about my feet.

Come to think of it nor is Raj's comments that 'your toes are ALL WRONG'?!

Curious in the omissions of these two things, should NEVER hand me a piece of paper like this I wall pull it to bloody bits, lmao.

That was just 20 minutes of looking though it, will likely spot more in time but you get the general idea!!

LMAO!!!

A KING SIZE HEADACHE

Well Timmy must be about because someone is hitting my head with a Mallet or at least that is what it damn well feels like!

I seem to have traded the other illnesses and pain, or at least much reduced versions, for one hell of a headache this morning.

So I am making a cup of tea and taking even MORE PILLS, lol.

Taken 50mg Tramadol already an hour ago...

Taken Metronidazole

Taken the Prochlorepzine which according to my GP does NOT exist.

Now I will take another 50mg Tramadol and 500mg Paracetemol for this headache which I have to move very slowly and gingerly as to not aggravate it!

Of course I do often get headaches in the morning but not like this and of course for those that paid attention the CMT is a cause of that as you do not breathe properly at night and YES there ARE pills for that!

Now Metronidazole are the only drug on the complications list with CMT in my book that I am familiar with. Quite how it complicates things I do not know for sure.

Now what I do know is that muscle relaxants are a bit iffy because, and obvious hen you think about it, this relaxes your muscles and with CMT you have messages from your nerves not getting to your brain and vice-versa so that diazepam could have a far greater effect than it otherwise normally would.

So if you take at night and your diaphragm does not operate as it should then your not breathing as you should and CO2 gets re-absorbed into your body and you will wake with a headache!

I still have not studied the entire book so am not aware of other complications right now. Of course there IS the possibility that I do not have it...

...but it IS my body, MY symptoms and I have the whole bloody lot of the lengthy list that goes with CMT going back not just the 12 years with my feet but going back over 20 years.

In other words if a PROPER test was done and it came back NEGATIVE I would bloody well eat my hat!!!

How I spent over twenty years gradually acquiring the dozen or more symptoms of a rare disease like Charcot Marie Tooth Disease of which I only became aware of a couple of months ago is.... well lets be straight down the line here its just not possible is it?

I mean consider the list of symptoms...

Feet Problems
Lower Leg Problems
Knee Problems
Back Problems
Arm Problems
Hand Problems
Morning Headaches
Reactions to General Anaesthetic (combined anaesthetics FOUR TIMES I know of)
Reactions to Local Anesthetic
Feelings in hands and legs can be MISSING - Harm Myself without KNOWING
Pins & Needles
Restless Leg Syndrome
Hand tremors

Without going through the book these are off the top of my head!

There would be a full list on another post somewhere about this blog.

NEUROLOGY APPOINTMENT LETTER FOR CMT

There you are and after nearly blowing a gasket with Chase Farm Hospital's call centre and then told there has been no referral letter come through... here it is.

Even when they are right they are immediately proved wrong, lol.

Been thinking about this thing more and more lately but not with respect to me but the rest of my family...

A few things have been somewhat curious but what I can say here is that myself and two brothers suffer with painful backs and have done awhile now. Not sure of my sister in all honesty but we all have varicose veins and circulatory problems.

Of anything else they experience I do not know but I do know of one cousin that suffered from knee problems for years and I am sure if I remember correctly having a discussion about why it still hurts when I think they went through an operation on it to have a fragment removed.

I have had slightly dodgy knees for years until one time and pursuing an upset father, no was NOT me, my right knee snapped and I could not put any force on it for several days. Walking out of the question. Of late my knees are weak and more so in the summer and though they hurt when walking I am damn sure it is NOT the walking that aggravates them but instead the CYCLING! Many things have been an absolute bastard to understand over the years due to, on the one hand, a kind of delayed reaction with some things and one activity causing a pain while then attempting another later!

This is true of both knees and feet and even my back can act up when I least expect it and then ask myself why as I have done nothing to provoke any pain or seizing or locking up. Same is true for upper back and shoulders but I now know this is a delayed reaction, or constant weight at the wrong angle will bring it on quicker. What I mean by that is that the rucksack over one shoulder will have my shoulder freezing up in pain. Using both straps over shoulders and a harness across the straps it will take a great deal longer before its severely uncomfortable.

This is the most important page and I left out the other two, with my PASSWORD and other details and obviously also edited this page too.

Health Problems Part THREE - DAILY TASKS PART ONE

I am fiercely independent and I believe that is part of my problem.

What I mean to say by this is that when i am not currently in pain I do not ASK for help nor do I expect it and I have repeated myself many times by stating that I could NOT face life in a wheelchair. This is a horror I have had to endure and have nightmares about for many years...

...it is also one of the many, MANY areas that the NHS have failed miserably and proved themselves not only NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE but also a complete waste of BILLIONS OF POUNDS and just how many billions I would dread to work out.

This is not to say that the LOGO should be attacked but that the people that did this should be and I mean physically for my own personal feelings I believe that, as one poster so eloquently put it previously, they should be covered in petrol and burned alive!

To explain briefly what other form of punishment would be more fitting to people that can do this to members of the public as far as regards their health, pain and family are concerned?! If it was them or their family they would move heaven and earth but wen it is anyone else and in this case 99% of the British Public they are beating you with a stick to work and pay them taxes while you are your family are slowly dying and I mean literally!!

So if anyone had a better punishment I am all ears but I doubt it! Those that disagree with any punishment or even that there is anything wrong or going on is either extremely naive, extremely amoral or has an extreme amount of money or a member of the current cabinet?!

Damn it!! I digress! AGAIN!

Often I am twirling a walking stick while I am out and currently I am experiencing a GOOD New Shoe Syndrome, as I prefer to call it, but in all honesty the new shoes have had a full Memory Foam Insoles added to them I found it sport direct!

So currently, and it never lasts for long and only helps the HEELS and nothing else, walking is a great deal less aggravation that it is normally and that is a first in over 5 years.

However being stationary is still a problem and as stated previously if I remove one hurdle, even only temporary, then I normally hit another and I have around 9 or more for mobility alone.

WALKING
So yesterday I got home by the skin of my teeth and that is ONLY because I had a walking stick with me and this is because I overdid it, due to new shoes syndrome, and pain killers worn off...

My muscles were fatigued. Now previously I got his part of my ailments wrong and I thought that these muscles were tiring purely down to my walking gate, so to speak. But Charcot-Marie-Tooth Disease is down to atrophy of the muscles and fatigue of them is one symptom of that.

So my muscle fatigue and hobbling home with my stick on occasion is, like everything else, down to this dreaded disease.

CARRYING
I state carrying but specifically I mean using a rucksack which I have with me constantly. It does not need a great deal of weight inside it, and NOT a big rucksack i might add at around 25 litres, before my back and shoulder freeze up in agony despite how many Tramadol and Paracetemol I take?!

But it is the best and easiest way for me to carry things, err especially when I hold a stick and also even more so when it is ummm RAINING...

UMBRELLA
Oh boy! I cannot even begin to describe the pain in my back and shoulders when this occurs. Of course i switch arms to ease this but after awhile and with the smallest of Umbrellas, a rather nifty Fulton Automatic Umbrella, which is light and slips in a pocket, my back and shoulders feel like they have 240 Volts running through them and i can state this as I HAVE had 240 Volts, err well I think so unless a LIGHT SOCKET is different I never really checked, because I have had a strong electrical current run through me!

CURRENT TASK...
That would be TYPING. I have typed for years and owned a computer since a Commodore VIC-20, that one was for the NHS legal beagles looking on here for reasons to defend themselves as I am sure they now know I am coming for them just like the Police and Councils have done awhile now. But lately my typing has been slow and somewhat off. I am often making really stupid mistakes that has me wanting to turn my laptop into a frisbee!! LMAO!

I get a great of aching with use of certain limbs and digits and I have often described it in the past as if I feel like I needed oiling that that of a mechanized robot.

As I had hoped that failing everything else, publishing my authored works, legal case for damages against all and sundry and anything else, I had thought that my OTHER blogs may eventually and around mid to late 2013, might make me an income. So the typing problem is a bit of a concern and has been awhile.

WASHING UP
Oh I would be a mass murderer for a dishwasher, lmao, but I have stated this before.

Obviously there are knock on effects on these which are bloody obvious except when you are government trying to stick the knife in your back while whipping you to keep working who conveniently fail to realise this, or move onto your next ailment and suddenly develop a memory span that Goldfish would laugh at?! LMAO. "I am always in MEIN KRAPPER" (American Dad)

So you see I am and long since have explored a great many different avenues and possibilities but, as many old friend elequently put it, gone at it with all guns blazing, get knocked down, stand up and brush myself off and onto the next things with the same 110% enthusiasm. Or as my late father put it 'never had a fair crack of the whip' and he used that for two aspects in that my choice of women has been extremely unlucky as well as my attempts at a serious career in a science based field.

However he always told family that I he knew that I would always come out fighting no matter what and that one day I would do it as did many others one absent and one passed away.

AUDIO: NHS PODIATRY APPOINTMENT 221012

OK! Now I had the first of two major appointments today and this one was for Podiatry.

Confused Podiatrist thought I was there about only a painful Corn, which I ripped off weeks back but growing back and just starting to become painful again!

He got a bit of a surprise when I mentioned everything.

While he was staring at my toes I asked him to spot the odd one and he looked up and said they were ALL ODD and WRONG!! LOL.

He contradicted and questioned what was said on the 8th February about my feet and said they had got it all wrong! HUH, surprise, surprise?!

He admitted they had hinted, without stating the conditions, at Dupuytren's Contracture/Ledderhose's Disease but said my toes were all wrong and I agreed and said pointing UP instead of down.

He found my feet and case quite interesting, once we got over the looks I get when I state I know about the bureaucracy of PCTs and NHS and I get that 'your out of your depth' look and I return with raised eyebrows and a 'ohh noo it is THEY that are out of THEIR depths!' LMAO!

He agreed with my suspicion of the trouble being linked back to my road accident, which had always been discounted and disregarded in the past...

He was the FIRST to EVER notice my toes!

He was the first to actually realise and ask me about always cycling everywhere!

He wants their bio-mechanical division to study me?! OHHH YEAHHHH BABYYYY!!

Now this latter statement will lead to discovery of what lies behind the pains in my knees, hip and even my BACK?! Which oddly I am attending ANOTHER appointment for in FOUR WEEKS!

He was also surprised they made me go to Barnet and actually asked if I used to live there then?! LOL. I said no they just made me go all the way up there!

SO in effect I have proved EXACTLY what I had stated previously about the 8th February 2012 appointment and EXACTLY what I stated in the EMERGENCY MEETING with heads of surgery and security I had ALSO recorded and posted up on here in a previous post?!

Shocked at how long I had it and where I have been made to go in the last 5 years too! Why? ...

Well after going all the way up the hill to Chase Farm Hospital, which is where I assumed the appointment was, and locking up my bike I then walked in the building and then realised that it was a 5 minute walk from my house and a 2 minute walk from the Pet Shop store I had just cycled from?!?!

So in 5.5 years I have had the specialists right around the corner from me?!?!?!?!

I HAD ALSO BEEN THERE SEVERAL YEARS PREVIOUSLY TAKING A FRIEND TO PHYSIOTHERAPY SESSIONS!!!

NICE ON NHS, YOU BLITHERING IDIOTS!!

BUT DO NOT TAKE MY WORD FOR IT .... LISTEN FOR YOURSELVES!!
