THE SOUND OF DUCKS

I have been searching for sometime now on and off to discover why I might not be absorbing magnesium into my body. This was diagnosed three or four years ago, that I have a magnesium problem, and I have been getting signs that there is more to it but ignored this as I thought it was my memory issues.

The fact I have memory issues is even more of a reason as to why these things should have been checked out but instead was ignored by the NHS to save money!

In fact after a discussion with a friend of mine who suffers from Type 1 Diabetes he told me that in recent years he does not even bother seeing his Doctor because every time he ever complains about anything his response is always “Oh it is your Diabetes causing it” ..

There are so many things wrong with that crap and this attitude that I do not even know where to begin?!

As I said to my friend ..

Fuck me, they can't say that! They are GENERAL Pratitioners and are not specialists and nor do they posses the x-ray vision I am always accusing them of thinking that they posses! This could and probably has caused many deaths and who the fuck is going to be around to check this and stop this?!”

They spent years forst getting my Fibromyalgia wrong, then realising that I had it and then started to lie to me and then when I realised that I had it then lied to prevent me from being diagnosed. The fucking moment that they did admit that I had it everything fucking else, just like my diabetic friend, always drew the response ..

“Oh .. it is your Fibromyalgia” ..

.. even high blood pressure and so I did not get a referral .. despite the fact that having Fibromyalgia does not make high blood pressure any less deadly!

Hypomagnesimia .. also deadly .. more so than high blood pressure and guess how many referrals I got for that? None! I did not even get warned it was fucking deadly!!

Anyway .. enough of that ranting .. I FINALLY discovered some details regarding malabsorption of magnesium due to having two pills in twelve hours, three in twenty four and my thighs still aching ..

No doubt if I ever see a Doctor again, which I doubt, they will roll their eyes at me because I am supposed to and fully expected to believe ehtir bullshit and lies .. because them being overpaid to do fucking nothing is more important than people's lives and those poor unfortunate people relying on what little is left of the welfare system.

So here is a list of things that can cause the malabsorption of magnesium .. if it states Behcet's Disease in this list I am gonna flip!

Possible Causes of Hypomagnesemia ..

  • Crohn's Disease
  • Celiac sprue
  • Whipple's Disease
  • Short Bowel Disease
  • Intestinal Mucosal Disease
  • Cystic Fibrosis
  • Cholestatic Liver Disease (from Behcet's?)
  • Pancreatic Insufficiency
  • Intestinal lymphangiectasia (WTF?)
  • Radiation enteritis
  • Systematic mastocytosis
  • Terminal Ileal Disease (?)
  • Tubular Disorders
  • Congenital renal (kidney) magnesium wasting (Behcet's?)
  • Interstitial nephretitis
  • Acute Tubular Necrosis
  • Kidney Transplant
  • Renal Tubular Acidosis
  • Bartter's Syndrome (Well I seem to have a collection of these damn syndromes they deliberately ignore?!)

Now to make this whole thing about Hypomagnesemia complete .. the symptoms ..

  • Neurological
  • Behavioural Disturbances (Yes)
  • Irritability and anxiety (God yes)
  • Lethargy (God yes)
  • Impaired Memory and cognitive function (God yes)
  • Anorexia or Loss of Appetite (WTF?! Your joking, right?!)
  • Nausea and Vomiting (ooh great! Yes))
  • Seizures (ooh great! Yes and yet another one they lied about)

  • Muscular
  • Weakness (Yes)
  • Muscle Spasms (God Yes)
  • Tics ( I don't think so)
  • Muscle Cramps (ooh great! YES)
  • Hyperactive reflexes (No idea)
  • Impaired Muscle Coordination (ataxia)
  • Tremors (ooh great! Yes!)
  • Involuntary Eye Movements and Vertigo (ooh great. Yes)
  • Difficulty Swallowing (ooh great. Yes)

  • Metabolic
  • Increased Intracellular Calcium
  • Hyperglycemia (No I think)
  • Calcium Deficiency (No idea .. oh wait .. Osteopenia?)
  • Potassium Deficiency (brings on Sudden Death Syndrome)

  • Cardiovascular
  • Irregular Heart Beats (Yes)
    • Had over eighteen months .. recently discovered its the low magnesium which was discovered three years ago plus
  • Coronary Spasms (no idea)

Funny really recently reading that report that stated that a collection of Doctors had stated, maybe to government or the NHS, that there has been a sharp rise in patients with a combined series of physical pains and mental health problems. At a time when even Doctors and Pharmacists have admitted to me that the NHS and the government are going well out of their way to ignore people's health problems.

One pharmacist in Enfield shook his head when he admitted this to me and said ..

This will be a time bomb waiting to go off and go off it will down the road!”

When I asked him how he knew they was doing this he said that for many months they had noticed that way, way less prescriptions were coming through the door and that they were throwing away a hell of a lot of money in drugs because of their use-by dates. Due to this and the cost that he said all pharmacists were enduring, guess they are not good enough to save money for, they are now not ordering in a lot of frugs they would previously stock.

Ooh .. dear.

That conversation took place around two years ago and God knows how long that had been going on for. I was annoyed for not even thinking about this aspect of the cutbacks and not asking a pharmacist sooner. I could literally have walked into every pharmacy with a recorder in my pocket and sparked up a conversation and just collated all the recordings?!

Hmm .. maybe someone else is already doing this?

Maybe someone out there might start to do this?!

FAMILIARITY WITH THE NIGHT BRINGS DEATH

I'm fucked.

No .. really.

According to this scientific study many of us that have trouble sleeping well become familiar with death a lot sooner than others.

Ooh craaaap! That means .. night workers too?!

I have to look into this deeper before I post this because I simply don't understand it. How can this be?

What was occurring or what was noticed due them to even begin a study like this?!

I honestly would never have thought anything .. like this .. ever.

Sleep is a needed thing that all animals have to do and .. well .. not everyone .. or everything .. sleeps at night. In fact some animals have puzzled us for years how they ever manage to sleep at all .. like ..
How do Dolphins sleep? Whales, even? See?!

Sleep has been both a mystery to me and a bugbear for many, many years.

Along with one other bodily requirement and it's two connected things of food and waste it's the third thing that holds us back. It's probably been responsible for countless deaths that would be staggering to discover. Well by that .. I mean accidents because of feeling tired, sleepy or even falling asleep. Like at the wheel of a car? Or operating dangerous machinery?

It's one of those things that when I have harped on about Fibromyalgia being ignored that readers would realise on their own.

I really don't like and try not to spell everything out for everyone. I like people to go off, even in a tizz or angry with me and then realise later and come back. It just had not happened as much as I liked or expected. Well I'm closing in on a million but I thought I'd be closing in on ten million after all this time?! Ooh well .. still helping.

So yeah .. I'm a little surprised and taken aback with this one.

SEIZING THE DAY

There I was in a very secluded spot with my camera on a macro tripod taking pictures and videos of some of the British Wildlife. For my British wild life blog.

I saw a couple coming along the secluded path and was annoyed I had to get up. They were around fifty years or so from me. I stood up and turned around expecting a familiar feeling to come over me.

The postural hypotension had been dogging me for the last hour. It is annoying at the very best of times and this was real edge of the black-out territory.

My new Nikon Coolpix P900 camera was on my right side on a quick release strap. My new camera bag was on my left side and as per usual I had my walking stick in one of my hands.

I felt the feeling wash over me, it really is a good description, and I grabbed a fence post with my right hand. I felt as if I was going to get through it when suddenly I was getting up off the floor!

Worse still I could feel convulsions both in my head and in my body, like sudden extremely strong jerks as if I had been plugged into an electrical socket.

'What the fuck?! How did I get on the floor?!' I thought as I was automatically trying to sit up.

I then realised what had happened and then remembered there was a couple coming along the path just prior to this happening. Where were they? Were they still there? It did seem like seconds but the last time I had one of these that strong I was actually out for thirty minutes. Except at the time it felt like I was only gone a few seconds.

I got to my knees an looked in the direction I saw the couple with their pram. They were still there! But just standing still and looking worried. I said “It's OK” out loud so that the message would be heard and waved them towards me.

As they got close I asked them what they saw. The mother said that I had disappeared out of view like I was falling but were worried in case I was … 'hiding'. “No, no, no sorry … I just had a fit of some kind.”

She told me she had wondered if I was having a fit because she herself was epileptic.

After wee finished speaking I continued on my way but feeling a real warm and fuzzy feeling, I still feel it right now in fact. A funny feeling in my head. I do not know how to describe it.

I then panicked as I had just bought a new camera only a week or so ago. “Effing typical!” I said out loud as I spotted three largish marks on my camera. Turned out to be dirt and I just brushed it off. A few minutes later a friend rang me and I told him what had just happened. He came and picked me up.

Oddly enough I had made an appointment with my GP, or new GP and the brother of the one I had previously who left for pastures new.

So now that is two immediate problems to deal with and I need to find out how I can stop pstural hypotension from doing that?

The trouble is I have high blood pressure along with the postural hypotension. Hypotension basically means it goes lower than it should. So my blood pressure can go from very high to very low very quickly.

So what do you do?

How can you take a drug to bring your blood pressure up, if there is such a drug, when your taking other blood pressure pills to keep it down?

Unless there is a drug that is better at keeping your blood pressure in a more uniform level but as per usual it is more expensive so you get the crap, like Ramipril?

Hmm … foundd Postural Tachycardia Syndrome! Christ, I must be collecting the syndromes? Lol. I wonder which branch of my family I have to thank for this one? The human body is a miracle indeed! HOGWASH! LOL!

In that webpage it mentions a few things I experience and it mentioned Chronic Fatigue Syndrome which I am sure is just early stages of Fibromyalgia Syndrome from everything I have researched. So interesting that is mentioned.

Excess Heat: Yup established long before starting the blog that I do not like it hot!

Syncope or Fainting: Yup always get that.

Palpitations (feeling your heart beat): Yup, had that only yesterday and thought I was having a heart attack and stopped in the street.

Gut problems: That is what I booked appointment for as I thought I might have Diverticulitis.

Brainfog: Fibrofog lol

Tiredness: Check

Sweating: Check and long established on here

Poor sleep: Check … Fibromyalgia includes no restorative sleep

Chest Pain: Costochondrytis? Had that!

Shakiness: Yup … hands. Wondered if I had Parkinson's, it is in family, the latter.

Bladder Problems: Yup, over a decade. Went to Whipps Cross Hospital about it.

Anxiety: Yup, been hospitals and even psychiatrists over that

Dizziness: Check! On trains, both types, feeels like train is falling down a hole and I grab the bars for dear life! God knows why.

Hmm so looks like something else three dozen overpaid Doctors have missed?! Blimey this is going to end up very embarrassing for the NHS.

I had a grand mal seizure once before and a very long time ago. At a friend's place and he and his mate stated it was due to the cannabis. I never thought it was down to that and that the cannabis just magnified something already there. I was often having black-outs and this occurred over twenty years ago. Yup, OVER twenty years ago. It was reported to my GP, a Dr Tennekoon, at the time along with the other black-outs and falling over. Nothing was done and after a while it went a way for a few years until around 8 years ago.

I had gone to the communal loo in the bedsit and the next thing I know I am lying on the floor of a very narrow toilet room in an old Georgian, I think it was, house and a banging on the door. I have my trousers half way down my legs and I unbolt the door. My friend appears in the gap of the door and asks if I am OK. I ask why he has come out and knocked on the door and ask him how long have I been gone. Now I think I have been missing from the room for mere moments. Turned out I was missing for thirty minutes!

That time as I came around I remember feeling a violent shaking going on and I got back to his room and laid on the floor. The next thing I knew I could not feel anything in my body from the neck down!

I stayed on his floor all night! The next morning I was OK.

Like I said … that was about 23 years ago.

This thing that is … happening to me. I can tell you I do not like it, especially as afterwards it feels like someone has been performing horrible experiments on my head then played football with it!

I hope there is a way to prevent this?!

THE FIGHT TO REMAIN UPSTANDING

Now that headline might appear to mean one thing when indeed it actually means something else completely different.

As others now I have spent the last week messing around with a new operating system on my laptop and in the process lost my old one. The one I am currently using is a Linux OS called Ubuntu 12.04 LTS using Unity.

The one I have lost until I find away to return it as it was is Windows 7.

I have lost some applications, games, programs and files in the process though this should only prove to be temporary and for 2 to 4 weeks.

Now I am currently trying to install drivers that have caused a headache and all of the problems for the last 8 or 9 days. I am TRYING to get my graphics to work on my laptop under Ubuntu. Currently I have been attempting to install the drivers for the last hour and god knows how much longer it will take and if it will succeed at all.

But that is NOT what this post is about and I only state that to make it clear as to WHY I have been pacing around the house and am a bit lost with myself...

For sometime now I have had something a bit odd going on with me and I had put this down to the Charcot Marie Tooth Disease that I did, and still, bet the proverbial farm on that I suffer with, oh yeah still have to upload that sound file?!

Today while waiting for things to happen on my laptop I keep feeling dizzy and light headed and this happens a great deal. Sometimes I have mentioned it in posts and other times I have not.

It is weird and fecking horrid if I am totally honest and it feels like I want to sleep all the time. The mad thing is it only seems to occur when I am indoors and not doing much. Or waiting around for something like I am now.

Oops just checked something as my fan speed altered and I thought something had finished?! Turns out no it has not.

For the longest time this occurred only now and then and its kind of like that out of it feeling you sometimes get just prior to going down with a bad case of flu! Like when people say they do not feel right and think they are coming down with something?!

Only the feeling is becoming more frequent and stronger as time goes on and its becoming more than just an annoying distraction. I have had plenty of sleep and it is not like that feeling of lack of sleep but different. I have taken pills so it is not withdrawal that has crept up on me unnoticed.

This is kind of the thing I have to deal with every single day only my body presents my mind with new tricks and new obstacles.

I really HATE doing nothing I really do. I hate staying in the house and I know my house is pretty small but I honestly do not know if I ended up in a house four times the size a year from now and possessed a big garden and a greenhouse I really could not tell you at all if this would change!

My mind wants to stay active and you could claim that I am hyperactive to a degree...

Only many parts of my body, including even my head at the moment, are the exact opposite. Different parts bitch and groan in different ways entirely and with differing frequencies as well as different levels of bitching and groaning.

Only of late this is now being accompanied by a lethargic and light headedness that feels as if I am intoxicated to just beyond the point when you start regretting it!

Intoxication is exactly they way to describe it. As if I had taken to much drugs, had a drug administered without my knowledge and possibly my mind is thinking to when I was stuck in the loo and the force of pressure that my Vagus Nerve experienced that forced my blood pressure to drop, cold sweats and a feeling of overheating and then heart attack and breathlessness came over me before passing out. I did actually mention this in brief to Doctor Mort yesterday and I mentioned the Vagus Nerve and I think he laughed if I recall correctly. A look of surprise that I knew about the Vagus Nerve and that I had passed out. I did actually say that I wonder if my Hiatus Hernia is pressing on it at all and why I have these dizzy and lethargic periods?!

In fact I had spent 30 minutes wondering whether to just go out, which I have not done all day and also waiting for this darned program to install, or post about it just so that I have this on record, so to speak.

I decided on the latter, always good to have it on record but that when I get days like this sitting in front of my laptop screen only makes it worse.

I am LOSING on the SWING, I am LOSING on the ROUNDABOUTS!

Sorry that was a line sung by Fish when he was with Marillion, lol. Just popped into my head and thought it apt for the points I have often tried to get across?!

As the Charcot Marie Tooth listed Fatigue as one of its many symptoms I experience I was then pleased to finally have an answer tot that...

When you have a lot of things going wrong with you and only have 5% of the answers it is annoying. I am sure there are people that have not had a proper diagnosis to just one or two things for many years that can tell you the same. If the read this and the rest of the blog and realise that this amounts to a dozen or more going back up to twenty years I am sure they would do a double take and re-read the post just to make sure they had not read something wrong, lol.

Yes it is not nice and hence why periods of me being funny, witty and comical and can interspersed with ire and anger due to what I have to deal with while doing chores and errands I am finding it harder to do all the time.

This is probably one reason am an so charged up over things as well as passionate about things I type and post about. Why I get outraged at greed by so many out there when it is obvious these people do not know what suffering is.

This is where their downfall lies in all honesty as those that do suffer and have now been repeatedly and savagely kicked in the nether regions by the government will come out of corner like that of a caged animals gnashing and snarling as they come.

This is why I like to let loose on here when I do feel enraged at things. To show that not only am I human but what it will be like for people with lives of suffering and pain. Especially those who have had no help from no one while the ravishing wolves bark at your door.

Bark enough and what will emerge is something that would make a Polar Bear blush!!
