THE MUGS MUGABE MAKES

Well, well. It would seem that the people of Zimbabwe got a tiny bit fed up waiting for their snoozy and barmy leader to die of old age to get rid of him.

It has been clear for a very long time that the people of Zimbabwe have wanted to see the back of their leader, Robert Mugabe.

It has also been clear for a very long time and even before the last attempt to get rid of him that only death itself would remove him from his lofty position.

But what I find staggering is that he is a laughing stock around the world, and not just with other African nations, but still refuses to go.

Of just the ones I remember with my terrible memory issues you have that economic crisis and I do not even know if they are out of it yet or not.

You had that attempt to get rid of him that he somehow halted.

Then there are those visions in my head of him nodding off during important events and/or meetings that were obviously set up to deal with real issues that needed .. well .. dealing with. Not for Robert Mugabe who, while the cameras were rolling, nodded off and snored his head of, figuratively speaking. Maybe he did? Who knows?

So now there has been this revolution/coup/take-over of sorts.

Then they announced he was stepping down and I said to someone here .. "Well? That is a surprise. I can tell you that man is so obsessed I thought only a bullet would remove him from power!"

Then he did his speech he was forced to do and .. well, only .. there was no mention of stepping down at all and at any time and I swear I could hear the soft brush of cloth on gun metal and the smell of gun oil in the air?

Oh .. they are talking about impeachment. One naive woman thinks that Robert Mugabe will get the message from the widespread celebration of the people when they thought he had gone. Yeah .. no! I can tell you that even from several thousand miles away he was never going to go either easily or quietly.

Another one stated that they were sure the the process of impeachment had already started.

Another thought that it would go back to normal and with no stepping down and no impeachment either.

I still maintain it will be a bullet and likely before the end of the year.
After all one person first admitted he was disappointed and had hoped that this cold be done without destroying what little reputation Mugabe had left. He then later admitted he was actually angry and that a great many people who had been out celebrating would also be very angry too.

Maybe they could inject him with the Black Plague? It is in or is in danger of being found in neighbouring countries and has killed over 124 people and infected over 13,000 others.

At 93 years of age and with 94 being reached in as little as three months time you have to wonder, why? After being a leader all these years and with an earlier attempt to get rid of him and being laughed at by mos of the world you have to ask yourself why he is so stubborn?

What in the world do you get out of being a leader that does nothing and gets laughed at, at his age?

I simply do not understand why you would do this at such an advanced age?

I am now waiting for the backlash from the people when this gets out .. it simply has to happen and it is hard to see how it could be prevented.

I saw this on the BBC and thought you should see it: Zimbabwe's Robert Mugabe vows to stay on despite army pressure - http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-africa-42046911
