THE WHOOZY SYNDROME

I feel very ... strange today.

The pills I have been given along with the ones I was already taking seem to have had a very bizarre effect on me which seems to have become stronger each of the three days I have taken them.

I feel tired and slow and that is an understatement, let me tell you. I ... I'm having difficulties thinking straight and carrying on with this post. I just want to lie down all the time and yesterday I was messaged in the late afternoon to be invited to a barbecue and I was out of it on the sofa. When I did read it I did manage to get there.

It is very weird and I hope it goes, I will not be able to function like this at all!

Oh my word! I am going to have to lie down even though it 5.17pm and I have been lying down upstairs for God know how long?!

The drugs are 300mg Gabapentin, 25mg Amitriptyline, 50mg Sertraline, 200mg Tramadol and 30mg Lansoprazole.

THE SLEEP WALK SYNDROME

Ooh boy, what am odd day it has been today!

Only odd in the way I have felt ... which was the odd part and in a nutshell it was just odd on several levels and this varied from one to the other throughout the day.

First off I did get sleep and woke up a little later than I would have liked to. But I felt ... odd. I felt ... slower than normal, relaxed in a way ... a little and less pains than normal. This was very much out of the ordinary.

The feeling continued and even when leaving the house I felt less aggravation than normal and I did not feel like I was rushing like I normally do?!

I continued to feel like this while I was out and picked up a can of deodorant I had forgotten the day before, despite only needing three things, bread ... umm something else and deodorant. I forgot the deodorant! It was the main thing too for obvious reasons, lol.

I saw a friend and told him a few things and then went into my local park to pick up a bit of moss for my Milk Frogs, which I have wanted to do for weeks now!

Once I had a few handfulls I then made my way home only I started feeling rather odd. Odd because I was feeling very tired and eventually sleepy! This was as I was walking along! I started to use my walking stick and every single time I saw a flat area with grass I wanted to lay down and go to sleep?!

I was beginning to think I would fall asleep as I was walking along?! I had the walking stick now working to stop me from going over as all of me felt it just wanted to stop. Even right now while typing this up I want to just lean back and go to sleep?!

Madness.

I have also lost that dreadful aching feeling in both the upper and lower legs too.

Now for those interested in my gradually increasing understanding of Fibromyalgia and the associated prescription medication I will explain that last night my medication was altered drastically.

I took 50mg of Sertraline which I had not taken now for several weeks, this was because the new Doctor thinks it will beneficial but at higher doses that 50mg and intends to raise it to 100mg after a month. Did not want to give me 100mg daily immediately for some reason.

Added to this he game me a prescription for Amitriptyline in tablets I had not realised they manufactured at 25mg. I have been slack at taking these and was only taking 10mg pills when I remembered to! Yes I even forgot to take my pills too and its bloody common! The Tramadol and Lansoprazole I take in the mornings and always remember them if I go out, forget if I don't half the time.

Your best bet is to just try hard for awhile to have a routine so it becomes habit forming. I also need to set alarms on my phones to remind me to take things, especially at night!

Also and as I stated to the Doctor I am also taking 300mg pills of Gabapentin ate night, only as I had to drop the dosage of Amitriptyline down to 10mg and the guy at Guy's stated that he wanted me to take both! On the recording he mentions about taking Gabapentin and Amitriptyline together before I state that I do not want Gabapentin because they made me seriously nauseous constantly and what with my oesophagitis and involuntary vomiting this would not be a wise idea! He then says he will write a letter to prescribe Pregabalin and, if I remember correctly and its on the tape on here anyway, that I can still take Pregabalin with Amitriptyline.

Right now I am going to look up links between Sertraline and Fibromyalgia and I have seen it stated one single time about using Sertraline for Fibomyalgia but want to know more about this.

WHAT'S UP DOC??

Well I had more odd ball appointment today.

After getting messed around somewhat and a receptionist phoning me yesterday to make an appointment I had already made and other appointments mysteriously disappearing and being lambhasted for just saying hello I went in today forearmed.

This was a very long appointment as it turned out. He disagreed with me on a number of apsects of the NHS I knew only too well I was right about. So I told him so. To his surprise. I then told hiim of my rapport with Doctor Huq and that despite me bing her best patient she close her practise because of me.

I then told him about the official complaint and the withdrawing of the two reports.

He remarked what a blog does not do much...that was until I told hi of what was held within its pages and its archives. As previous I only remarked about hospitals and the lying Doctors but that I had a fair enough amount running into tens of gigabytes.

Before the appointment I jad indeed wondered to what I would say if I was ever asked the question that should naturally be asked in these situations.....have you recorded me?!

I did not have to come up with an answer as I was not asked.

The conversation was interesting and I did offer my blog to him bit not for the reasons you might think!

The appointment was OK. There were no arguments despite what I stated above. In fact there is a moment when he says things that will raise eyebrows...

1) You are obvioulsy familiar with these things so I will no explain it to you

2) No my knowldge is limited and you have actually been teaching me

I told the story of the ear condition. He looked inside and said what all have before and I did not expect any different. I therefore asked what i could be that affects my hearing. He stated that it may be a congestion issue as the Eustachian Tube conncts to the throat, or sinuses or all connected basically.

Now this made me raise an eyebrow! I do indeed have isues with sinuses and in fact I have explained this in that at night in bed I can get blocked up and during the day my nose is clear but can be running.

For those paying close attention I found this out to be connected to my Fibromyalgia and of course they are connected to the eyes in one way or another so yet again all roads do very much indeed lead right the way back to ROME!!

He suggested that I hold my nose and blow, to equalise the pressure and I just smiled and shook my head so instead he has given me some decongestion tablets and we will see how that goes.

But as I have discovered before and as anyone else that has used drugs like Gabapentin or Pregabalin, unile what my last idiot GP stated these are NOT just PAINKILLERS and would not work on all pains and only specific types. Or the neurological pains that he inststed I did not have, despite having at least TWO neurological conditions over ten years that I was given succesful and VERY specific drugs for.

Be gear to get that all down on tape as proving all that, eh?

Well I will now ask two questions and I will indeed give you just one chance with each one...

1) Guess what a large part of that 40 minute appointment was spent talking about?

2) Now guess WHAT I was doing at said appointment?!

The genius is often with the forethought and the preparation. But as will be revealed in to upcoming parts...

...it is just a wee bit more than that!!

Unfortunately for every public office I have ever found to be extremely bad, lying or corrupt!

Ooohhh it smarts, does it not?!?!

I DO like this GP and I do hope it stays this way. He does not or at least has not yet disregarded me as if I am an idiot and indeed in just two meetings and one phonecall has extended as much professional courtesy as he could possibly afford to someone NOT qualified as a Doctor!

That always goes a long way in my book.

Within this post is one iron clad statement that proves that my GP is a good GP. I will leave it for readers to work out what it is but even with the GP I got on with there are no Doctors that I have met in the last 15 years or more that I would  EVER expect to say those four simple words!
