THE RUMBLE OF THE ICE AGE

Well it's been a strange few days.

First off was the recent and quite peculiar series of sad deaths, each one more surprising than the last.
David Bowie, Alan Rickman, Glenn Frey and now Leslie Nielsen. Two musicians and two actors. Strange. All in quick succession. Alan Rickman was the biggest surprise I have to admit and didn't think he was the same age as Bowie.

Damn fine class acts, the lot of them. A real shame and a real loss to their respective industries.

As I was speaking to a friend about the deaths I remembered something I had read somewhere.

A few years back long before I started my blogs I had a conversation with him about climate change, or global warming if you prefer? I explained that many of the claims were ridiculous, unsubstantiated and likely impossible to prove. I also said that not only is man not responsible for the planet warming but I also explained that it's highly likely that if you were to get the co2 levels back to normal this could very well plunge is into a new ice age. Because we are very long overdue one and something was obviously preventing it.

I explained I had believed this and told friends this for many years, likely well over a decade.
They disagreed with me.

I reminded him of my explanation way back then and stated that I had indeed just recently read a report by scientists somewhere starting as such.

All that intelligence, all those resources and all the other support?

It's times like this I really feel my skills and abilities were wasted away over the years while every now and then someone would come along to exploit them only to then think they knew better.

Dumb-arses.
There is a list.

Those claims would be in the archives of this very blog, along with many other predictions, theories and factual events only to pop up in the media somewhere in identical or mirrored form.

Well that's one thing finally been realised. Now they might go back to the drawing board after spending years wasting money trying to make their names famous or get screen time or even a series on TV?!

One can only hope.

I wonder how long it will take for the rest of my predictions, theories and factual elements to get realised in a wider scale?

If and when that time comes we might actually start getting somewhere when it comes to change for the better and actually progressing and evolving as a species?

Instead of this two decade long slumber we have been in which has been completely stationary for the last 6 years or so.

That's damned father time, he has a great deal to answer for!

Lol.

THE SCIENTISTS STRIKE AGAIN

Being something of a very educated man in the world of amphibians but admittedly with my finger of the proverbial pulse in recent times I got a bit confused at this report.

Dancing frogs is what the BBC report calls these things but when I resting about this seemingly unusual dancing behavior it started to become somewhat ... familiar!

Although the frogs in the picture look different to the family of frogs I think they are related to they look more like something related to another, Epipidobates of South America which are plain cousins to the Poison Arrow Frogs, or Poison Frogs, of the Dendrobates groups, many renamed now, of South America?

The odd thing is the behavior they refer to as 'dancing' I think is nothing of the kind, until I have looked into it further. I believe these are types of Semaphore Frogs and the genus I am familiar with are Staurois. These wave they legs about while arising their toes to reveal a turquoise blue webbing because they bred near noisy waterfalls. So body in fact that it renders any vocalization completely useless and therefore they evolved, or learned, to use the blue webbing to advertise themselves. Hence the name Semaphore Frog and the same name as those guys that work on an aircraft carrier signaling to pilots on manoeuvering their jet fighter?

These little guys of the Staurois genus ate in a short list of amphibians that ate fascinating top me but never had the privilege of seeing them, let alone breeding them!

THE PREDICTABLE REALITY

Quite an interesting one this as it is regarding that mud slide in North America.

Now I was quite shocked at the sheer volume of earth that student broke away from a hillside burying many homes and many unfortunate people. Hopefully those still missing will all be found alive?!

But what got my attention was the fact that someone, a scientist possibly, predicted this would happen!!

Now I am very eager to know more about this prediction and why it was totally ignored by all? I have to ask myself if this attitude of ignoring scientists is down to those standing on cardboard soap boxes just wanting to get on TV or a tabloid column?! So you could argue that it's been a case of cry wolf because of bad scientists?! But then there was a certain British scientist who was fired because he refused to lie as he was told to about Cannabis causing mental illnesses! He ended up all over the news because he told the truth!! Many others lie or exaggerate to get themselves noticed!

Still I think before very long now this good and bad science with their associated good and bad scientists will likely clash or certainly appear to be heading for a confrontation...of sorts! Lol!

Hmm now I just had an idea...

In light of the Internet Age there should be a website called something like Predicted Science whereby those that ARE SCIENTISTS can list their predictions in a database that is accessible by the public?

Note that would not only be very cool but cuts out the middlemen of government who try to manipulate science to serve them or the very few higher classes?!

Hmm now I wonder?! Exactly how many middlemen, getting earnings for feck all, can be done away with, meaning they will have to actually find something that CONTRIBUTES TO SOCIETY INSTEAD OF FEEDING OF IT.

Hmm I imagine many are in the process of being rendered severed from any given processes?!

I was thinking how the website Kickstarter does away with banks, or the need for them! Digital Media has almost done away with labels and disc manufacturers. Though I think these will remain in some small capacity especially for films. Possibly for music artists with longevity and not the manufactured rubbish rammed down our throats in these crappy reality/talent shows.

Yes I think for the next 5 years there is going to be a lot of shuffling about? How good it would be to get rid of those vampiric like businesses which do not really serve a purpose or much of a service?

Dearth throws of the Vampire industry, lol!
