A BANG ON THE RADIO'S HEAD

I am listening to music again.

Or at least I have listened to the same album around four times, I think it is?

Found myself going back to Lakeside to return some suits, I did not end up wearing mine, and this time I remembered there as an album I had intended to buy the day it came out. I didn't.

Those that had read recent posts as well as those that keep coming back over long periods of time will know that I stopped listening to my cherished music. I lost the urge. To do almost anything … other than dragging my arse out of bed to a boring life that now seemed doomed.

My DAB alarm clock going off was the only hint of music in my life, both literally and metaphorically speaking.

I could not find the album, despite knowing exactly what the cover looked like, but my brother did. Then I had it, Radiohead's A Moon Shaped Pool was in my hand! Would I be calm enough for the coming weeks and months to enjoy it and listen to it enough times?

I ripped the album as soon as I got back to the house and then let the album play from beginning to end while I did a few searches.

I had heard the first track in my brothers car some days beforehand and I liked it and after a couple more listens loved it. An odd title of 'Burn The Witch' and I had seen a video that was a cross of Camberwick Green and The Wicker Man.

The next rack played and called Daydreaming and I liked that too.

I even liked the following and third track, Decks Dark.

The fourth track called Desert Island Disk was mellow and smoothly melodic to the point of almost trance inducing, yes I know when I should listen to that one next, or what state I should be in.

The fifth track called Ful Stop and deliberately misspelled is a lot more attention grabbing and heavier than the first four tracks. Struck me as being good enough to use as a intro track on a very good movie.

If there is a weal track on this album then it would be the sixth track which also happens to be the shortest track on the entire album of 11 songs.

Identikit is the seventh song presented here and this is a somewhat hypnotic, spiralling and with a catchy bass beat that made me thinking of Thom Yorke spinning. Someone complained there was no guitars so they obviously did not get to track 7. What sounds like a guitar to me is used to great effect here and has almost sounds of Mike Oldfield from his very early days.

The sound of the whole album goes back up to the peak of the very first track, Burn The Witch, when we get around the track eight, The Numbers.

At this point I thought that there could not be many, if any, people not liking this album and even given it an average to low score. But sure enough there were which had me scratching my head. I had a great track with the first one and again with the eight one and not really a single bad one from one to the other. Even with my love for Radiohead it rarely goes this well and my head spins to another beat that could be fitting on a classically good movie.

With the ninth track, Present Tense, I do get possibly now the weakest out of the ninth tracks, not bad and great background music, just weaker than the previous tracks.

The track at position nine and claims the longest title on the album by far and maybe the longest title ever is Tinker Tailor Soldier Sailor Rich Man Poor Man Beggar Man Thief Baker & Candlestick Maker … wait? I got carried away, the title stops with 'Thief', lol. Eleven words in the title. Nice track and has kind of a note of haunting.

The eleventh and last track is True Love Waits and here I get the weakest track of all.

But when I look back I have some great tracks, eight very good and two OK tracks and I realise I get ten songs I liked which beats the previous The King Of Limbs which only had eight.

To think I was supposed to be out photographing and filming British Wildlife today. I did manage to get two miles but it felt cold and there was a wind. So I changed my mind, came home … nearly did one of my odd nodding off moments while profusely sweating. Felt like I was starting to violently shake as I was almost asleep and snapped out of it.

So I did a few things to wake myself up, came back to the PC and played A Moon Shaped Pool and typed this out.

Now I need to drag my other second bike out and go and get some food … and some tobacco!

Something a little different for a blog that normally exposes corruption in the public services and private companies with an array of links to secretly recorded audio?

I should be typing out a post about receiving my acknowledgement about an appeal to have a case heard in court, DWP, and the outcome (only partial) of my appointment at Chase Farm Hospital which has already taken place and the can they will do on my head at Royal Free Hospital at some point.

Oddly the Doctor or specialist looked surprised when she told me she did not think I was epileptic, from the seizure and blackouts I had been having, and I said neither did I and had ruled it out? I guess maybe she was impressed with my deduction?

Some deductions are extremely easy, even it needing a little research.

You simply compare the notes and throw any theory to one side that contains .. discrepancies and once you are left with the ones that for perfectly you are left with your conclusion.

LMAO.

THE OTHER NAZI EXTREME

I have often spoken of how odd things are, sometimes bluntly obvious too, to me but seen to be missed by the greater masses.

Sadly it's the greater masses that can bring about change but doggedly refuse to see and remain blinded.

A fraction of these belongs to a group that, online at least, was coined with the phrase 'fanboys'.

Now what these idiots ... sorry, people do is like something that someone creates, brings out or updates that they own/use/love. Any mention of these products or their manufacturers in a negative way brings on fury and arguments from this group.

Now what I have always found both odd and hilarious is an argument erupts that always results in the 'fanboy' declaring their extreme intelligence compared to the one making the remark.

Instead, to anyone with any intelligence at all that is, the opposite is true in that said 'fanboy' looks stupid. Because arguments are not decided on how irate you are or how loud you are. The facts will always remain the facts. In these instances when the 'fanboy' is proved wrong this is followed by silence or worse, venom and threats.

I see this everywhere and not just online. I see this in my own circle of family and friends. I saw it several times over Christmas!

I always shake my head in disbelief when I hear things said and their replies at times too.

Perhaps not always every time but 99.9% of the time the companies your arguing over will not give a crap whether you live or die. Only that they get more of your money than the next company before you do die, though this particular thing is not what this post is about. It's about people and commonly made mistakes.

This mistake is probably happening right now as you read this?

People make excuses because of how hard life is that they do not look into anything fully. They take a snippet, or think 'face value', decide probably wrong and walk away. Yes, because that's how you get to the truth, read something the size of a Tweet and that contains all the facts! In other words the excuse is that no one has the time.

Would you think this not odd when someone has spent an incredible amount of time and money, not to mention pain, in an effort to show you? They spend years working on this for you and you give it a couple of minutes or the first 60 characters or less?

Well it happens a lot.

Sometimes I see something I've quoted many times go and get quoted by someone famous. Now this happens to me a great deal and it never ceases to amaze me how it then gets reported because someone famous states it.

Now not in this particular instance but a great many famous celebrities are constantly reported as not being too bright, putting it as politely as I can. Yet the news media would rather put a report in a newspaper or on the TV of someone not very bright than someone who is intelligent and been working on this for many years before the celebrity realised it. It happens a great deal and has since I started my blogs, luckily I was aware of this beforehand, hell I even expected it.

But just yesterday I was looking up things to do with the music band called Radiohead. I love this band and the only band currently I take a great deal of notice of and the only one I would not think twice about buying a new album of. Not even U2 command that of me.

I have all 8 albums and heard that Radiohead were working on their ninth album and thought I would look to see if there might be a release date. One of FOUR THINGS that are going to make 2016 an amazing year, ... umm 'touch wood' CRAP NO BLOODY WOOD IN THIS ROOM!! LOL! Not much luck finding anything even 'loosely' based on a date or even a month. Still I'm sure something will occur in the next 8 weeks with a date?

Then I supported and read an interview with Thom Yorke, singer of Radiohead, and was surprised at a statement he made about YouTube and Google!

Now I don't know a lot about Thom Yorke, other than him being in a mates shop nearby at sine point and being an intriguing free thinker. I do get intrigued and impressed at things he comes out with. I might be wrong but he seems to think very similar to the way I do. I rank him yo somewhere with Stephen Fry as someone who would be great to have a conversation with.

He is also a damn good writer of lyrics.

But in the interview and siskin primarily about musicians, mostly of new music and bands, he disks negatively of companies like Spotify (I personally know nothing about), YouTube and Google which I do know some bad things about.

Just as I have done on here several times he refers to both Google and YouTube as being like the Nazis!

This group I refer to is one of two groups I have referred to as being like stone new form of Nazis that I will get to eventually. I will surprisingly and in an eye opening way link this to evolution, though one of the groups will really hate that, in the near future.

Things have to be taught in a certain order, in a certain way and many need time to ... sit in ones mind, so to speak.

Trust me. No one more than me would love to achieve things quickly. In fact I have learnt what many of you have not. To be patient. To make sure you are fully aware of almost the facts before you decide, quote or even vote.

There is a reason we are in the state we are in. Yup, because of idiot members of parliament but who is it that keeps voting for them? Not me, lol. Well none of them that have been in power and the only, currently viable alternative. When I say viable I do mean viable and I'm impossible to argue with. Perhaps why everyone gets pissed off because I price then wrong each time they are adamant that they are right!

Except the rare occasions when they are right I will say they are right. Lol!

So you can go and have a read on NME's website of what Thom Yorke says and why he says the things he does. I would be willing to Betty he had a few other opinions too?!

RETURN OF THE MIDDLE MEN

So Thom Yorke of my current favourite band Radiohead makes a stand against money fur old rope?!

To be honest I no longer understand why things like Spotify  need exist?! If I wanted Radiohead's music on digital format only, which I don't lol, I would go to they site and buy it?!

Oddly I wonder if Mr Yorke had been devilishly clever here in which case I take my hat off to the man for the second time! Well more if you count one for each album  lol. Not even my beloved Pink Floyd have managed that hats off! Err I think, lol. Yup they got beaten...only just, lol.

Funny how people with no artistic input can now come along and replace still the middle men and women that existed previously?! Lol. There is no need to in all honesty, none at all. I was only thinking a few days ago how a group of people could get together a band, write and play music and experimenting with recording techniques and sell tracks online!

Anyone there hears a track by a new artist can then migrate over to the artists webpage and download music?!

Always someone wants something for nothing. That is this middle men mentality that spent decades destroying the one industry we did have were good at, MUSIC.

Other than a small handful of artists all we have of crap which sells for 5 minutes based on talent shows run by the music writers of no talent?!

LMAO!
